death ship was originally released around 1980. the special features and interviews are quite excellent.i watched this movie many years ago and i have never forgotten it in fact one of my friends who i watched it with to this day still mentions how creepy this film is who knew back when death ship first came out that it would become a cult classic! Death Ship is a lower-tier offering from the 80’s horror selection, one that has a decent cast & a great location but not a lot else. Survivors of a tragic shipping collision are rescued by a mysterious black ship which appears out of the fog. Acting: 4/10. Some good atmosphere. Story: 2/10. Little do they realise that the ship is actually a Nazi torture ship which has sailed the seas for years, luring unsuspecting sailors aboard and killing them off one by one. And pity the poor actors -- George Kennedy, Richard Crenna, Nick Mancuso, Sally Ann Howes; it's the TV-jeebies.

Some good atmosphere. My memories of Death Ship are rose-tinted and, while it is now beginning to show its age a little, revisiting it for the first time in almost thirty years reminds me how timeless a tale it really is.
