I put the Skinner Low-Pro peep sight on my Marlin 1894C, didn't need to change out the front sight, hits spot on at 50 yards with Federal 158 gr softpoints in .357 Mag.

I think they're big and ugly, they don't look like they "belong there". The Williams front sight insert included with the set was too wide and too long for the 1894 Marlin to be a clean fit. The alloy used to manufacture this sight has a tensile strength of 85,000 pounds. This number represents the last two digits of the manufacturer's part number which is not typically an indication of the sight height. They have the same strength, lightweight, and neat appearance, but without the micrometer adjustments. Gary, did the 1894 require a front sight change? I had a FP 94-36 Installed on my Marlin 1894. Just my personal opinion, but I don't like Williams peeps. Williams FP Receiver Sights have an internal micrometer for a click-at-a-time adjustment and are made from rust-free aluminum.
