While Charlie doesn’t mind talking about his summer in Exile he’d much rather wax lyrical about the drummers he admired in his youth (Phil Seaman, Earl Phillips), but if he absolutely has to talk about the Stones, this is the period – and indeed line-up – that he remembers with the greatest fondness.

Keith created a studio in the basement of his house, and much of the footage takes place in that venue (hot and humid much of the time, making creation of the double album quite uncomfortable at times). Incidentally the Stones gave out one of these floppy 45 a plastic disc thin as paper that you played like a normal 45 (sometimes at 33.1/3 RPM) in NME called Exile on Main Street that had a sampler of many of the tracks plus a song that was not on the album, “Exile on Main- street is a strange street to walk down…..”. This song is on the DVD at the end. This video is great if you're a Stones fan who didn't really know much about the album "Exile On Main Street" or the circumstances surrounding it's creation.
